Well-crafted dealcoholised red wines are wonderful allies. An alcohol-free merlot, with supple tannins and aromas of dark fruits, will pair beautifully with duck breast with figs or a tournedos with wine sauce. A 0.0% pinot noir, delicately structured, can accompany a beef fillet or a rare roast. For smokier or spicier dishes, a fuller-bodied red such as an alcohol-free cabernet sauvignon will be the right choice.
When it comes to alcohol-free beers, opt for deeper recipes: an amber or a dark beer, with notes of roasted malt, will pair with a grilled piece of beef or a braised meat.
