Non-alcoholic Irish Coffee

Irish Coffee was created in 1943, during World War II, at O'Regan's restaurant and bar. Located on the former seaplane base at Foynes in Ireland, from which the first transatlantic flights departed and arrived, the passengers, mostly military personnel, were tired and chilled, and wanted a hot, invigorating drink. The hot coffee and the aromas of whiskey combined perfectly. Cream was added to cool the drink so it could be consumed quickly.
