Alcohol-free Cuba Libre

"Por Cuba Libre" — that is the phrase said to have given the cocktail its name, when, during the island's war of independence, a group of American soldiers on leave ordered a drink made from rum lengthened with cola and a slice of lime. They then decided to toast "Por Cuba Libre". The catch in this story is that the famous American cola had not yet been imported to Cuba at the time.

A cocktail with a murky history, best enjoyed with a clear head — alcohol-free.

Ingredients

  • 5cl – Alcohol-free rum
  • 12cl – Cola
  • 1cl – Lime juice
