Alcohol-free Boulevardier
An Americanised version of the Negroni, this cocktail was invented in 1927 by Harry McElhone, the founder of Harry's New York Bar in Paris. The drink owes its name to the American writer Erskine Gwynne, editor of the literary magazine Boulevardier. The writer, who lived in Paris, was a regular customer of the bar.
The Boulevardier (even without alcohol) is a cocktail for lovers of bitterness. The woody and sweet aromas of bourbon are also present.
