About Dry January

Dry January is a worldwide movement through which several million people stop consuming alcohol during the month of January. It is a challenge launched by the organisation Alcohol Change UK in Great Britain. In France we call it #LeDéfiDeJanvier or Janvier Sobre, which works throughout the year for responsible alcohol consumption.

 

The rules:

  • Simply don't drink alcohol from the moment you get up on 1st January — and that's it!
  • We don't give you a "gold star" if you don't drink — it's entirely up to you. A January with less alcohol is already a reason to be proud, and your body will thank you for it!
  • But if you take on the challenge for the whole month, the benefits will be considerably greater. The finest of all is having found pleasure in going out, dining at home, relaxing or doing whatever you would usually associate with having a drink — but without alcohol.
