Production secrets
For the dealcoholisation of its wines, l'Arjolle has chosen a qualitative and high-performing method: vacuum evaporation. By placing the wine under vacuum, the boiling point of the alcohol is lowered (30°C instead of 80°C), which means the wine is heated less and the vast majority of the wine's original aromas are preserved. Using this method, it is possible to dealcoholise the wine down to 0.0% vol and offer a genuine alcohol-free drink.
About the estate
The Domaine de l'Arjolle was established in 1974 in Pouzolles in the Hérault. From the outset, its objectives were centred on the essential pillars of quality, diversity and the crafting of pleasurable wines — values that remain predominant within the estate today.
They focused early on renewing the grape varieties, adopting Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Sauvignon Blanc in the first instance. The freedom afforded by the Côtes de Thongue appellation gave them the opportunity to produce varietal wines and characterful, expressive blends.
