Non-alcoholic blonde beer: Gueule de Joie celebrates its 7th anniversary with its first beer

Bière blonde sans alcool : Gueule de Joie célèbre ses 7 ans avec sa première bière

There are some birthdays that particularly deserve to be celebrated.

For seven years, Gueule de Joie has been traveling the roads, meeting producers, tasting, selecting, and championing non-alcoholic drinks that have something to say. Seven years spent building a simple conviction: pleasure doesn't need alcohol to exist.

So to celebrate, we had to raise a glass. Not just any glass… a good beer.

Because we love beer at Gueule de Joie, but also because it is the quintessential popular drink, the one that brings people together for all occasions.

Of the alcohol-free beers We've tasted hundreds of them. In all stylesin all countries. We've learned to recognize the ones that work. The ones that are tiring. The ones that promise more than they deliver. So for our anniversary, we shook things up.

A non-alcoholic blonde beer, designed in our image: free, festive, accessible — but with substance.

A manifesto beer, too, which pays tribute to all the French and European breweries that are pushing boundaries with high standards and creativity.

It really tastes like beer — and that's the whole challenge

We could have told a beautiful story. We preferred to start with the taste. Because ultimately, that's where everything happens.

A zero-alcohol beer that truly tastes like beer is less obvious than it seems. Too often, we hesitate between lightness and character, between accessibility and expression.

Here, we sought balance — the kind that isn't immediately noticeable, but makes you want to come back.

A gentle, almost rounded attack. Then the malt settles in, quietly. A bitterness that arrives without being abrupt. And a fresh, slightly vegetal finish that cleanses the palate without tiring it.

Nothing extravagant. But nothing hollow either.
Just one craft non-alcoholic blonde beer which lives up to its promise. A beer that you understand from the first glass — and that makes you want to drink a second one.

What's inside — and what we refused to put in it

Behind this feeling of simplicity, there is a great deal of precision.

The malts: Pale Ale, Pilsner, Munich, with a honey biscuit touch.

The hops: Golding for spice, Cascade for floral and citrus notes.

The signature: elderflower, linden, orange zest. Not for looks. For what's right.

And most importantly: No added sugarsNo artificial flavors, no preservatives, no colors.

We could have done too much. We chose to do just right.
A good alcohol-free beer It often starts with what we decide not to add.

Beer 0.0% or 0.3%? What difference does it really make?

Our beer has an alcohol content of 0.3%, which officially classifies it as non-alcoholic beer (below the legal limit of 1.2%). This residual level is a natural result of fermentation, not a deliberate addition.

And most importantly: no dealcoholization. This is a beer designed from the outset to be at this level, not a classic beer from which the alcohol has been removed afterwards.

A controlled, natural fermentation that preserves the integrity of all the ingredients.

It's almost a minor detail. But it's often where the difference lies between a truly alcohol-free beer... and the others.

Brewed in Belgium: where beer is practically a language

As is often the case with Gueule de Joie, it all starts with a meeting. This time, the destination is Belgium. Not for the symbolism, but for the expertise.

We found brewers who understand without explaining, who know that balance isn't something you write down—it's something you feel. Our job is to select. Theirs is to brew.

A dialogue, more than a production.
A Belgian blonde beer at heart, designed for today's moments.

For amateurs and others alike — and that's rare

This non-alcoholic craft beer wasn't designed for a specific type of person. It was designed for a moment: that moment when you crave uncompromising freshness, when you want to raise a glass without a second thought.

Connoisseurs will find it sophisticated. Casual consumers will find it simple.

It can open an aperitif, accompany a meal, or invite itself onto the terrace without warning.
A beer that circulates easily, without ever becoming invisible.

She doesn't need a special occasion. And perhaps that's her true role: to be there, naturally.

An anniversary beer… which says something about the times

Yes, this beer celebrates 7 years of Gueule de Joie. But it also tells another story: a market that is evolving, habits that are changing, a desire to consume differently without giving up on taste or pleasure.

In this still-flourishing section of the best non-alcoholic beers, it acts as a simple landmark. A gateway.

Not the only one. But a good first one.
